Log into Scoutbook and ensure you have Den Leader/Den Admin permissions for your Den
Schedule Den meetings for the year
One Den meeting each month through May
Make it work with your schedule but try to be consistent (Pick Tuesdays, Sundays, etc). We have open time scheduled at St. John on Sunday afternoons from 2-4 PM when the weather is bad (just coordinate with me for keys). Otherwise, den meetings can be held at Creasey, Harrods Creek Park, Library (reserve library rooms here) or wherever is a good fit to complete the den meeting objectives.
Input meetings into GroupMe chat for your Den
The below adventures will be covered at Pack meetings:
Bobcat
Let's Camp
Citizenship
Personal Fitness
Personal Safety
Racetime
Outdoors
Fill in Den meetings with remaining adventures for your Den. Use THIS guide to plan your adventures for meetings
The first den meeting should focus on the remaining requirements for Bobcat (done at August Pack meeting) and completing the requirements for Scouts who did not attend August Pack meeting
Scouts need to complete the 6 required adventures and 2 elective adventures to earn the rank of their den. This should be your focus when scheduling den meetings
Note: The 'Family and Reverence' elective is to be completed AT HOME. Parents will complete at home with their child and notify den leaders when complete
Record advancements in Scoutbook
Make sure to record Scouts who were at the August Pack meeting for Bobcat adventure
Record adventures completed for Scouts who attend pack meetings, den meetings pinewood derby, etc
