Age Group: 10 and up
Number of Participants: 1+
Equipment/Materials Needed:
Cereal box, sheets of cork, tacky glue, various stickers/foam cutouts/beads, construction paper (optional), anything else to be creative!
Directions: For a small cereal box, cut out one side and seal the top, creating a box that is short, but has a long base. For a large cereal box, cut down to 7” tall, leaving the top open.
Using tacky glue, cover the box with cork. If using organizer as a memo board, you'll need two layers of cork to push pins into. Use tacky glue to decorate with foam cutouts, beads, stickers, etc. Be creative! Themes work great for this craft!
Variations:
Cover only one of the two biggest sides with cork and decorate the other sides however you choose. Sides can be decorated with construction paper, foam sheets, etc
Age Group: 7 and up

Equipment/Materials Needed:
Empty 20 oz. water bottles with flat, screwable tops, construction paper, glue (both liquid and stick), markers, yarn, plastic bowls, water, hummingbird feed or red-dyed water with sugar added.
Directions:
Before activity begins, pre-drill 3 holes close to the top of each bottle. Participants begin by coloring their paper strips with whatever decorations they see fit, allowing each participant to design their own birdfeeder. Then, with the help of an adult or instructor, participants glue their paper strips onto their bottles. After the glue has dried, tie a loop of yarn onto the bottle from which the birdfeeder will hang. Let the feeder dry overnight to allow glue to cure completely. Fill the bottle with red-dyed and sweetened water or hummingbird feed. Hang on a tree and watch the hummingbirds flock to your feeder!

Equipment/Materials Needed: Duct Tape
Directions:
Begin with having the participants start by making a stem. This is done by taking a strip of duct tape approximately six to eight inches long and rolling it onto itself. Participants can roll the tape onto a pen or pencil to make a rose you can write with. Once the stem is completed, make a ‘sailboat’ (see diagram below). Roll the sailboat onto the stem. Repeat over and over to create the rose. Various colors of duct tape can be used, but this raises cost. Stay away from Gorilla Tape!
